On top of all of this work, we had lots of fun this week, too! The children enjoyed toy day, game day, and bubbles/sidewalk chalk day!!! My favorite day, of course, was today's Easter egg hunt. I love to see how EXCITED the children in this class get about special things! Even more than that, though, I love their love of the Lord. I pray that, on this long Easter weekend, as you're enjoying your baskets, egg hunts, candy, and time with family, you take some time to reflect on the meaning of this special holiday. Jesus was crucified to pay for all of our sins. His body was laid in a tomb, and 3 days later he rose from the grave. Because of this, we have the promise of eternal life. Talk about a reason to celebrate!!!

- Thursday, 5/26th - LAST DAY OF SECOND GRADE!!! HALF DAY!!!
- STARTING NEXT WEEK, WE WILL REEEEEAAALLLLLLLY BE FOCUSING ON LEARNING OUR MULTIPLICATION FACTS! We've already spent much time on 0-5...so on Monday we're focusing on 0 and 1, on Tuesday 2 and 3, and on Wednesday 4 and 5. Then, on Thursday and Friday we'll review. Then, for the rest of the year, we'll focus on a fact a week. (So the first week of May we'll do 6's, then the next week 7's, then 8's, then 9's.) Please practice at home if you have a chance!!! :o)
